This page shows my initial black and white design which I then experimented with by changing the colour combinations until I found a design that would work with my project. I found that the black outlines were too harsh and so I quickly moved away from this idea and explored different options. I liked the look of the white background as it made the pattern feel airy and light and allowed the seaweed to be blue and stand out. However I also liked the look of the blue background which represented water and having the seaweed as white outlines created a subtle effect.
